Where is Your Trust?

"Why would I set you up to fail, don't you trust me?", I find myself asking my mom. During our time together, my mom expressed that she was afraid to try a new technique for her hair. With the experience I have in the cosmetology world, I recommended she try something new. After we went back and forth and implemented the new technique, her hair came out better than she expected. She couldn't believe it. My initial reaction was "You are my mom why would I set you up, I love you.".

Then that's when the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to see that this is the love that God has for us. In Jeremiah 1:5 it tells us that the Lord knew us before we were in our mother's womb. If you take the time to meditate on this scripture there is understanding in knowing that like you love someone dearly so does the Lord love you.

Christ calls us to trust Him with all of our hearts and not depend on our own thoughts (Proverbs 3:5-6). I challenge you today to ask the Lord "How can I trust you today?" and to show you what it truly means to know and love you. Wait, listen, and watch what the Lord will show you!
